BIKE TOUR LIVINGSTON

This is a nice walk for about an hour to Seven Altares. The tour leaves from Livingston at 9:30 am. We pass by the Catholic Church, the cemetery and the temple and the Garifuna community. We then follow our route by the tropical forest until running into the river water filled with crabs, called by its habitants crustaceans, cross part of it in a boat to reach the waterspouts of the Quehueche river to land on the coast. Here we will take a rest where we will be able to take a bath in the calm and tempered water of the Caribbean. Later we take a long walk along the beach until arriving at the altars. There are 7 steps through where the river is located and each of them creates a spectacular well of turquoise water. We stay here for a little while to take some pictures and a bath. This tour is more than an activity or an eco-adventure, although the amount of effort depends on the tourist. You will get in touch with the Garifuna community. Finally, you will feel a disconnection of the rest world, a strong connection with nature and be able to relax with the different views and turquoises water cascades!

Our adventure in the beautiful Rio Dulce starts in the early, taking a boat in Livingston, Izabal. The first destination will be Río Tatin, where the boat will cross slowly through the beautiful waterspouts and visit the Aktenamit Association, a perfect place for shopping. Later, we will stop at Agua Caliente and where we can take a thermal water bath.
Next, we make our way to Lagoon Gardens, as its name implies, the lagoon contains many beautiful aquatic flowers. Here we will have the opportunity to take pictures of marine turtles, birds and aquatics plants.
The next stop will be in an island of the birds where you can take pictures of many types of rare birds. Finally, we reach the famous Castle of San Felipe where the visitor can admire the whole structure. Then, back to Livingston.
Tour to Playa Blanca, Rio Cocoli and the 7 Altares! These places offer the best ecosystem in the marine coast and tropical forest. This excursion allows you to enjoy the most in one tour. It begins with a trip in a boat through the Bay of Amatique where the dolphins often accompany the visitors in the route towards Playa Blanca. As a first destiny you may choose 7 Altares, this is a true fresh water cascade paradise and crystalline water in the heart of the tropical forest. Making our way to the Rio Cocoli by boat, through waterspouts and tropical forest, you will have the opportunity to see some of the animals that live in the river.
