Keys of Belize

The Zapotillos Keys in the Caribbean are made up of emerald, crystal waters and are home to an abundance of fish. It is the second largest reef in the world, in the south of Belize, an ex-British colony and former possession of Guatemala, who continues to dispute the ownership of these beautiful territories in bilateral negotiations.
You can go to the island and go snorkelling, first from a boat and next at a place called El Cantil. At midday you will be provided with sandwiches, fruit and purified water on the beach. This marine reserve is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, and therefore there are important rules that must be observed when visiting. You must not fish with spears or remove parts of the reef.
The two-day trip includes snorkelling at El Cantil, sandwiches, fruit and purified water with an afternoon relaxation at the beach, dinner and bonfire. There is also an option to stay in a beachside bungalow at Key Limon.
On day-two we go snorkelling, lunch and return to Livingston in the afternoon.
The price per person does not include the departure tax upon leaving Guatemala or the entrance fee to the marine reserve.
Departure tax: $10.00
Entrance fee to Keys of Belize: $10.00 (Quetzales are not accepted)
