HUEHUE - HOYO DEL CIMARRON - CHACULÁ - LAGUNA BRAVA

This tour offers two days where we have the opportunity to stay in
touch with nature, enjoy hiking, sleep in a house over 100 years old,
and share with people that were from refugee communities in
Mexico affected by the problems of war. If you are looking for an
Day 1: 8:00 a.m. Departure from Huehuetenango towards the village
la
Trinidad. We will walk 40 minutes and get to see something
different from the nature of the El Hoyo del Cimarron. The Cimarron is a perfectly round
hole of limestone rock approximately 170 meters in diameter at the bottom and is
something you have to see. Next we will return to the village to continue to the Villa
Chaculá to sleep in a house over 100 years old made of the stones of Mayan temples; it is
very comfortable and enjoyable
Day 2: 7:00 a.m. After breakfast we head towards the village Yalambojoch, where we began a 2 hour hike to one of the most beautiful lakes in Guatemala. The hike to "La Laguna Brava" is a walk where you come in contact with nature with beautiful views to reach the lake. Once at the lake, you will realize how clean it is and be able to see all the color tones of the lagoon. We will have time to swim and have a picnic before walking back to Yalambojoch, about 3 hours. We then return to Huehuetenango.

Day 1: On this tour we go to Todos Santos Cuchumatán, but not
before making several stops along the way, like Chiantla
viewpoint and other interesting attractions. In Todos
Santos, we will enjoy one of the most authentic and
colorful markets of Central America, where men and
women retain their traditional dress. We will also visit the
Museum Balan, the Mayan ruins, and the cemetery, as well
as having time to visit many more places to enjoy the
Mayan culture. We will stay overnight at Hotelito Todos Santos.
Day 2: On this day, we enjoy a walk to the place known as the Plateau. This is a walk of about 4 hours where we will arrive at its highest point at 3,550 meters by walking on a nature trail, experiencing the local flowers, vegetation, and animals. This hike is in a rainforest and is a protected area. We will return in the afternoon to Huehuetenango.

Day 1: This tour leaves from Huehuetenango to the department of Quiche, through Aguacatán and doing
a tour in the village. We then continue to Sacapulas, where we will visit the market to observe the
development of Sal Negra (black salt), a tradition of the town. Next we head Nebaj, where we will
enjoy a tour of the ceremonial points of the village. We stay overnight at Villa Nebaj.
Day 2: On this day our first destination will be Chajul, a town with a great Mayan essence. We visit the
homes of local women artisans and you will be able to visit with the Mayan families. We may also
visit the church and museum. Then we continue to Cotzal, where we will visit the historic center.
In the afternoon we return to Huehuetenango.
