HUEHUE - MAGDALENA LAGUNA
On this tour we head for the mountains of the Cuchumatanes. After making a stop in the Mirador, we continue to Lake Magdalena, located at an altitude of 2,850 meters. The lake's dark blue center contrasts with the turquoise green shores, forming spectacular colors. You can see plenty of birds and trees native to Guatemala. This journey takes two hours by car and half an hour of walking to get to. We will enjoy the beautiful trail along the banks of a river where the scenery is breathtaking.

On this tour we will visit a 15 meter waterfall located in the village Milpas in the Chiantla municipal. This waterfall is at the start of Los Jolotes, where the water comes from the heart of the Cuchumatanes, which makes its water cold. We will walk for two hours on a nature trail where we will encounter local flowers, vegetation, and animals.

Enjoy a spectacular location on the grassy plateau atop the rugged Cuchumatanes from where you can embark on horseback rides as short as one hour to as long as several days throughout the sprawling countryside. On this full day tour we head towards the Sierra at 3,100 meters high and one hour from Huehuetenango . Unicornio Azul is an amazing place for a journey on horseback and to enjoy the scenery of the area. The tour includes a 1-hour horseback ride, lunch and enough time to enjoy a nice walk. On the way back , we will visit the Hacienda Chancol, a place with more than 100 years of history.
The one hour horseback is included but not obligatory , amazing walks can be made in the surroundings .
