HORSEBACK RIDING IN SAN PEDRO LA LAGUNA
Horseback riding is done in San Pedro la Laguna, between coffee plantations and on the road near the shores of Lake Atitlan. Three hours by horse, and some time on a boat for this round trip from Quetzaltenango. Does NOT include lunch. Free afternoon in San Pedro.

Starting with an early wake up to go from Panajachel in private transportation to a nearby ecological park Corazon del Bosque where bird watching will be our principal activity today. We supply the binoculars and breakfast will be served, after a nice little hike in the forest, in the restaurant run by the local community. Trails are offered that lead you through a visually stunning hike. Observe endemic, resident and migratory bird species.

Los Tarrales reserve is private and auto sustainable providing income for about 60 local indigenous families nearby the town of San Lucas Toliman. There are many tours available in this area. You can choose one or combine to make you own tour.
The reserve's trails are exclusively accessible with one of our guides. Guided tours start at 9:00am and 2:00pm. Different hours can be arranged (e.g. bird watching at dawn). The number of visitors in one tour is limited in order to guarantee a beautiful and unforgettable experience for each of the guests and to keep the impact on the natural areas as low as possible.

Please ask for prices, because all of the tours are different. Some are starting at 25USD p.p. (transport from Panajachel included), others are around 80USD p.p.
Daily, possible leaving times are 8:00am or 1:00pm, for bird watching tours of course very early in the morning is recommended.
