This is a journey where you will find culture and paleontology. San Juan Atitan is one of the most traditional villages in the region, where the men wear their typical dress with pride. Here they also have one of the most beautiful and colorful markets. You can see a number of women weaving the fabric of the region. With this tour, we head for the mountains of Cuchumatanes,
where we will visit Chiabal. It is a Mayan Man village, small
and authentic and sitting at a height of 3,300 meters (10,800
feet). During the tour you will observe a variety of cultural
aspects, people dressed in very bright colors, many of them
herding sheep; it is, in short, a unique experience. In the same
village, there is a trail that will take us to the stone lookout
point, from where one has a breathtaking view across the
valley and some volcanoes. This path also exhibits flowers, vegetation, and animals of the
region.
