LA VENTOSA & TODOS SANTOS

todos santos

This 4.5-hour hike begins with a 200m uphill climb lasting for one hour.  After this climb we reach a point where local Mayans perform ceremonies and includes a breathtaking view over the highlands from Chaval to la Campianilla, the volcanoes of Antigua, San Pedro, Santa María, Tajumulco and Tacaná.  Further along the hike are locations of old mines that can be explored.  Then the descent begins on a single-track trail leading to  Todos Santos. This hike is quite difficult so hikers must be in good condition.
