Jungle Trip 7 Altares

Nice walk for about an hour to Seven Altares. The tour leaves from Livingston at 9:30 am . We pass by the catholic church, the cemetery and the temple and the garifuna community, to then follow our route by the tropical forest until running into the river water of crab, called by its habitants crustaceans, cross part of it in a boat to reach the waterspouts of the Quehueche river to land in its coast. Here we will take a rest, the visitant will be able to take a bath in the calm and tempered water of the
Caribbean. Later we take a long walk throughout the beach until arriving at the altars. There are 7 steps through where the river is located and each of them creates a spectacular well of turquoise water. We stay here for a little while to take some
pictures and a bath.

Level of Difficulty:
This tour is more than an activity or an eco-adventure, although the amount of effort depends on the tourist. You will get in touch with the garifuna community. Finally, the visitant it’s going to feel a disconnection of the entire world, relax with the different views and turquoises water cascades!

As a first destiny you may choose 7 Altares, this is a true fresh water cascade paradise and crystalline in the heart of the tropical forest. Next destiny is the Rio Cocoli that will be also in a boat through waterspouts and tropical forest, you will have the opportunity to see some of the animals that lives in the river

Rio Dulce

Río Dulce Tour: Our adventure in the beautiful Rio Dulce starts in the early taking a boat at Livingston, Izabal. The first destiny will be Río Tatin, where the boat will cross slowly through the waterspouts for admiring and visit the Aktenamit Association, perfect place for shopping; , later we will stop at Agua Caliente and the tourists can take a thermal water bath. Continuing the next destiny is going to be Lagoon Gardens, as its name it is a formed of a lagoon with beautiful aquatic flowers, the tourists will have the opportunity to take pictures of marine turtles, birds and aquatics plants.
The next step it’s going to be in an island of the birds where more pictures can be part of the memories, having as many types of birds never seen before. Finally, we reach the famous Castle of San Felipe where the visitor can admire the whole structure. Then come back to Livingston.
