Nenton - Cimarron - Quen Santo -Trinidad

This tour starts at 07:00 am with a ride in a 4x4 wheel drive vehicle right across the Cuchumatanes to Nenton where you will arrive at about 11:30 am. After a visit to this town, the tour continues to the Cimarrón hole which is a strange hole in the ground. You would be surprised how big this hole is, and how this ever could happen. To reach the Cimarrón hole, you have to walk for about 45 minutes through an amazing and bizarre landscape which was once the bottom of the sea. After this visit the tour will continue to Quen Santo. A pair of carved stones can be found there and the cave has 100m of depth. To enter the cave, you have to ask permission, because if not, it will bring you bad things. This all is a walk of about 1 hour, again through the same landscape. The place is beautiful to visit and it is recommendable to wear good shoes because it is quite some walk to the cave, though a walk in a beautiful environment. At 05:00 pm you will return to Trinidad, where the car will be ready to bring you back to Huehuetenango, where you will arrive at 09:00pm.

This tour starts at 8:00am in Huehuetenango. There the church and the central park will be visited with the relief of the region of Huehuetenango. After that the tour will continue with a bumpy though breathtaking ride right across the Cuchumatanes. Of course it is possible to make a stop at the Mirador, a viewing point with a marvellous view over the valley. Paquix and Siete Pinos are really small villages with just a couple of houses and a posada, though the position is really beautiful. After about one and a half hour, Laguna Magdalena iwill be reached. The last half hour has to be done by foot, but the environment is beautiful and it is an easy walk along a small river. Getting close to the lagoon, some small waterfalls can be found. Its dark blue colour in the centre resists with the green turquoise of the borders, forming spectacular tonalities. In order to appreciate the lagoon in its totality, the footpath from the left side can be taken. Following this path it will be able to admire the great cascade that forms in the edge of the lagoon. After this visit, the tour ends with a beautiful ride back through the Cuchumatanes.
