We start the day with our ride to the Cumbre Alaska, the highest pass in Guatemala. On a clear day you can see 12 volcanoes! From Alaska we start the hike and we drop down. We will walk into the cloud forest around the Volcano Zunil which is a protected area in this area more Quetzals (national bird) are to be found than in the actual biotopo de Quetzal. We will end the hike in the Natural Volcanic hotsprings of Feuntes Georginas where you can take a nice relaxing bath before we return to Quetzaltenango. It is 7 to 8 hour walk mostly downwards! In the Fuentes Georginas is a restaurant where people can have something to eat and drink.
